Around six weeks ago I was invited to the Tropic Spring Launch hosted by York based ambassadors Seb and Jess. It was a lovely night and you can read about what it was like attending my first product launch HERE. Whist at that launch I decided to order their staple ‘ABC skincare’ routine and try it out for a few weeks with the intention of reviewing it. Well folks, it’s been six weeks and safe to say I’m impressed, let’s get into it!
*Disclaimer: I am not being paid nor was I asked to write a review of these products, my opinions on the ABC Skincare routine are 100% my own*
So, the ABC Skincare set comes with a Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer and retails for £54. You also get a free face mask of your choice, I went for the clear skin blemish fighting mask, which if bought alone costs £20 so you’re getting a good deal by getting it free with the skincare set! The skincare products are all vegan and cruelty free, as well as manufactured in the UK.
So here’s how my skin looked after two weeks of using the tropic skincare routine. My pores definitely got smaller and apart from the spot on my cheek my skin was looking pretty clear. I found pretty quickly that I had better results leaving the toner to soak into my skin rather than wiping it off straight away (the instructions say either method is fine) as it allowed more moisture to stay in my skin before using the ‘skin feast’ moisturizer.
And here’s how my skin looked yesterday morning! There are a couple of blemishes but I’m blaming those on my appalling exam diet that consisted solely of pasta, chocolate and wine, rather than on the tropic products!
Overall I’m really happy with how these products worked, my skin always felt super clean and fresh after completing the routine and I genuinely looked forward to doing it at the end of a long day, it almost became like a little self care ritual before bed! My only wish is that the ‘skin feast’ moisturizer was the same size as the cleanser and toner; my skin is naturally very dry so I found I had to use more than the recommended 1-3 pumps of moisturizer to feel I had enough, which meant I got through the moisturizer a lot quicker than the other two products.
Other than that I would definitely recommend trying the ABC skincare routine out! I appreciate that at £54 it’s a bit pricey but if you have the spare income I would definitely give it a go!
